The Deacon Board

The Deacons shall assist the Pastor in conduction the general welfare of the Church, which includes:

• Help serve the Lord's table for the administration of the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion
• Watch over and within limits of training, counsel the membership
• Receive applications and make recommendations for Church membership
• Provide orientation for new members of the Church program and its doctrine
• Assist in baptism of candidate
• Attend to the problem of the needy, sick and bereaved
• Build and promote Christian fellowship among Church members
• See that the pulpit is occupied at each worship service
• Be watchful guardians of the purity and good order of the Church
