Religious Symbols

The Baptist Church uses symbols to represent the spirit and glory of God's Kingdom.  The symbols are listed below:

Church Door- The Church Door is the symbol which represents Jesus as the door with a welcome to all that enter therein.  (John 10:9)

Aisle- The Aisle is a symbol of the way that leads to the throne of God.

Altar- The Alter is a symbol of Christ's sacrificial death. (bread and wine)

Offering- The Offering symbolized the people's sacrifice to God.

Clergyman's stole- The Clergy Stole symbolizes the expression of His ordination and sacredness. 

Choir stole- The Choir Stole symbolizes the yoke of obedient service in rendering music.

Cross- The Cross is a symbol of the victory of Christ over sin and evil.  The embossed initial on the cross IHS and IHC means Jesus.  The Cross is the most universally accepted of all Christian symbols.
